Grade Introduction, Chemical & Mechanical Properties of SUS304N1 Cold Rolled Stainless Steel Sheet

 

1. Standard Chemical Composition (wt%)

C≤0.08, Si≤1.00, Mn≤2.00, P≤0.045, S≤0.030, Cr:18.00~20.00, Ni:8.00~10.50, N:0.10~0.16 (key alloy element). Nitrogen improves pitting & crevice corrosion resistance besides strength promotion.

2. Core Mechanical Properties (Cold Rolled 2B/BA Finish, Delivery after Solution Annealing)

Tensile strength ≥550MPa (regular 304≥520MPa)

Yield strength ≥275MPa (regular 304≥240MPa, +15% higher)

Elongation ≥35%, HRB hardness ≤95Outstanding low-temperature toughness, available for minus 40℃ cryogenic working condition inspection.

3. Cold Rolling Production & Surface Specification

Raw material is No.1 hot rolled 304N1 coil; after pickling descaling, multi-high mill cold rolling down to thickness 0.3~3.0mm, common width:1000/1219/1500mm, customized length 2000~6000mm.Main surface finishes for export:

2B (Most popular): Matte silver finish, Ra0.1~0.5μm, general stamping & structure

BA Bright Annealed: Mirror bright under protective atmosphere annealing, Ra≤0.05μm for high-end equipment casing

HL Hairline /8K Mirror: Custom polished for architectural decoration.

4. Core Advantages vs Ordinary 304 Cold Rolled Sheet

Higher strength: Reduce plate thickness by 10%~20% under equal load, cut raw material cost & realize equipment lightweight

Better anti-corrosion: Superior resistance to chloride pitting & intergranular corrosion than standard 304 for slightly corrosive medium environment

Preserve good forming & welding performance same as 304, no extra difficulty for bending, deep drawing and welding processing.
