Hoses are generally selected based on the operating conditions and pressure levels of hydraulic equipment. The selection of a hose's inner diameter should prioritize reducing flow velocity to minimize pressure loss. Wall thickness depends not only on operating pressure but also on the hose material. Below is a brief introduction to the types and characteristics of commonly used hydraulic hoses in hydraulic systems.

I. Characteristics and Applications of Rigid Hydraulic Tubing:

1) Characteristics and Applications of Copper Tubing:

Capable of withstanding high pressure, cost-effective, oil-resistant, corrosion-resistant, and rigid. However, it cannot be arbitrarily bent during assembly. Commonly used for pressure pipelines in areas requiring easy installation and removal (seamless tubing for medium/high pressure, welded tubing for low pressure).

2) Characteristics and Applications of Red Copper Tubing:

Easily bendable into various shapes, but the pressure rating generally does not exceed 6.5-10 MPa. They offer relatively poor vibration resistance and may cause fluid oxidation, typically used in hard-to-reach areas within hydraulic systems.

II. Characteristics and Applications of Hydraulic Hoses:

1) Characteristics and Applications of Nylon Tubing:

Milky white and semi-transparent. Can be freely bent into shapes or flared after heating, retaining the formed shape upon cooling. Pressure rating varies by material, ranging from 2.5 MPa to 8 MPa.

2) Characteristics and Applications of Plastic Tubing:

Lightweight, oil-resistant, and cost-effective with easy installation. However, it has low pressure resistance and degrades over time. Suitable only for return lines and drain lines with pressures below 0.5MPa.

3) Characteristics and Applications of Rubber Tubing:

High-pressure tubing consists of oil-resistant rubber reinforced with multiple layers of steel wire. Higher wire mesh counts yield greater pressure resistance but also higher costs. Commonly used in medium-to-high pressure systems to convey pressure between two relatively moving components.
Low-pressure tubing is made from oil-resistant rubber-coated canvas and can be used for return oil lines.
