Manufacturing Process

The welded pipe manufacturing process generally includes:

Raw Material Inspection
Stainless steel strip or sheet is checked for grade, thickness, surface condition, and dimensional requirements.

Slitting and Preparation
The raw material is slit to the required width for pipe forming.

Roll Forming
Stainless steel strip is gradually formed into a cylindrical tube.

Longitudinal Welding
The formed strip is welded along the longitudinal seam using a controlled welding process.

Weld Treatment
The weld area can be treated according to the required surface and dimensional specifications.

Sizing and Straightening
The pipe is sized to achieve the specified outside diameter and straightness.

Cutting
Pipes are cut to standard or customer-specified lengths.

Inspection and Testing
Dimensional, visual, surface, weld, and other specified inspections are performed before shipment.

Surface Finish

Different surface conditions can be supplied depending on the intended application.

Finish Description Typical Application
Mill Finish Standard industrial surface General industrial use
Polished Smooth mechanically polished surface Equipment and visible installations
Brushed Directional satin surface Architectural and decorative applications
BA Bright annealed surface Decorative and equipment applications
Custom According to customer specification Project-specific requirements
