Stainless steel tubes are very good in corrosion. In the food processing industry, food contact pipes must have extremely high hygiene and corrosion resistance standards, and stainless steel pipes have become the only choice; in the chemical industry, stainless steel pipes can also be competent for transporting various corrosive chemical media.
Although aluminum tubes also have a certain degree of corrosion resistance, they seem to be somewhat powerless in harsh environments such as strong acids and alkalis, salt spray, etc. However, in dry indoor environments, such as architectural decoration, furniture manufacturing, and other fields, the corrosion resistance of aluminum tubes can fully meet the needs.
2. Strength and hardness
In general, stainless steel tubes have higher strength and hardness. It can withstand greater pressure and tension and is not easily deformed. Although its conductivity is slightly inferior to copper, it is relatively cheap and light in weight. 1. Difficulty of processing
Due to its high strength and hardness, stainless steel pipes are difficult to process and require special processing equipment and processes, such as laser cutting and plasma cutting. Moreover, when welding stainless steel pipes, the welding technology and process requirements are also very high; otherwise, welding defects are prone to occur, affecting the performance and quality of the pipes.
Aluminum pipes are soft and relatively easy to process. A variety of processing methods can be used, such as extrusion, stretching, bending, etc. At the same time, the welding of aluminum pipes is simpler than that of stainless steel pipes, and the welding process is relatively mature, and the cost is low.
