Welded pipe fittings: Raw material adopts continuous stainless steel coil, rolled and welded into tubular blank, with short production flow, high finished product rate and low manufacturing loss. Mass bulk orders enjoy obvious price advantage, the preferred cost-saving choice for low and medium pressure general piping projects.
Seamless pipe fittings: Produced by heating solid round billets, piercing and hot/cold drawing without welding seam. Complex multi-step forming, high energy consumption and material loss push up overall production cost. Only adopted for high-pressure and critical industrial pipeline systems with sufficient budget.
2. Corrosion Resistance
Seamless stainless steel pipe fittings: Uniform integral metal metallographic structure without welding weak zone, no hidden corrosion source. Smooth inner wall reduces medium residue accumulation, showing more stable anti-corrosion performance in salt water, acid and alkali long-term delivery environments. Less risk of local pitting and crevice corrosion.
Welded stainless steel pipe fittings: There is an inherent weld line on the tube blank. Even after annealing and inner polishing treatment, the weld zone still has slight metallographic difference compared with base metal. In long-term high-chloride and humid working conditions, corrosive medium is easy to gather at tiny weld gaps, triggering local rust and leakage in advance. 5. Processing Performance
Welded stainless steel pipe fittings: Raw steel strip features uniform wall thickness and high dimensional precision, easy for fixed-length cutting, simple cold bending and batch threaded processing. Continuous long tube blanks reduce secondary splicing processes, fast production cycle and low secondary processing cost. Not suitable for ultra-high pressure forging and heavy cold forming, easy to deform at weld positions under excessive load.
Seamless stainless steel pipe fittings: Integral compact metal texture, excellent pressure resistance and structural rigidity. Support heavy forging, deep cold forming, thick-wall special-shaped elbow and tee customization, stable performance after multiple heat treatments. Dimensional tolerance control is slightly lower than welded blanks, and cutting, forging and polishing processing consume more tools and time, with higher secondary processing cost.
