What is C11000 grade copper?
C11000 grade copper is an industrial pure copper, also known as red copper, named for its purple-red color. Copper ASTM B187-C11000 has a very high copper content, usually ≥99.90% copper + silver, and has the following characteristics:
1. Good electrical and thermal conductivity: It is an excellent electrical and thermal conductive material, often used in fields with extremely high requirements for electrical conductivity, such as the manufacture of wires and cables in the electrical industry, and the manufacture of high-precision electronic components in the electronics industry.
2. Good corrosion resistance: Copper ASTM B187-C11000 can resist the erosion of most corrosive media and is suitable for various environmental conditions, including humid, acidic, or alkaline environments.
3. Excellent processing performance: It can be made into products of various shapes through rolling, drawing, and other processing methods, and is easy to weld and braze.
However, Copper ASTM B187-C11000 is not suitable for processing (annealing, welding, etc.) and is used in a reducing atmosphere at high temperatures (such as > 370℃), because trace amounts of oxygen may harm its performance under such conditions.

What is ASTM B187 material?
Copper ASTM B187-C11000 is a standard specification developed by the American Society for Testing and Materials, which mainly covers the specifications of copper bars, copper rods, and copper profiles. Specifically, it includes the following aspects:
Chemical composition: specifies the content range of various elements in the material to ensure the basic performance and quality of the material.
Mechanical properties: clarifies the mechanical properties of the material such as tensile strength, yield strength, elongation, etc., so that the material has a clear performance basis in different application scenarios.
Dimension tolerance: The dimensions and tolerances of copper bars, copper rods, and copper profiles are specified in detail to ensure the dimensional accuracy and interchangeability of the products.
Is 110 copper the same as C11000?
110 copper and C11000 are the same. 110 is the domestic copper alloy grade representation method, and Copper ASTM B187-C11000 is the American copper alloy grade representation method. They both belong to the oxygen-free copper category, and their chemical composition and performance are very similar. The main components are high-purity copper. In practical applications, such as wire and cable manufacturing, electronic component production, and other fields, they can be used interchangeably. However, in terms of specific product standards and some detailed requirements, there may be slight differences due to differences in domestic and foreign standard systems. For example, C11000 may have stricter American standard requirements in terms of impurity content control, while domestic 110 copper will also follow relevant domestic standards and specifications in the production process and quality control.
Surface quality: Requirements are put forward for the surface roughness and defects of the material to meet the surface quality requirements of different applications.
Copper materials that meet the Copper ASTM B187-C11000 standard can ensure the consistency and reliability of quality, and facilitate the production and use of the entire industrial chain.
