Products Description
Stainless steel reducer, also known as reducer, is a pipe fitting used to connect pipes of different diameters in a pipeline system. The structure of a Stainless Steel Pipe reducing pipe is relatively simple. It is a pipe fitting with a gradually changing diameter in the middle and has two ports, one end with a larger diameter and the other end with a smaller diameter. This structure enables it to achieve a smooth transition between pipes of different diameters in the pipeline system and ensure the normal transportation of the fluid.

Type classification
Concentric reducer: The center lines of the concentric reducer are on a straight line, that is, the centers of the large and small diameters are at the same point. This type of reducer keeps the flow direction of the fluid basically unchanged during the fluid transportation process. It is mainly used for pipeline systems with high requirements for fluid flow stability, such as pipeline connections in some precision chemical process flows.
Eccentric reducer: The center lines of the eccentric reducer are not on the same straight line, and the centers of the large and small diameters have a certain offset. Eccentric reducers are usually used for special pipeline layout requirements, such as when it is necessary to avoid liquid accumulation at the bottom of the pipeline or gas accumulation at the top. In a horizontal pipeline, if you want to connect a vertical upward or downward pipe with different diameters, the eccentric reducer can better meet the process requirements.
Diameter expansion process
Pressing expansion: In contrast to punching expansion, for some Stainless Steel Pipe reducing pipes that need to change from small diameter to large diameter, the punching expansion process can be used. The small-diameter stainless steel pipe is expanded to the required large diameter size through the pressure of the punch in the mold. Stamping expansion also faces the problem of mold and equipment limitations in the manufacture of large-diameter and thick-walled pipe fittings.
Bulging expansion: The bulging mold is used to generate pressure inside the small-diameter pipe, so that the pipe expands outward to achieve the purpose of expansion. Bulging expansion can better maintain the uniformity of the wall thickness of the pipe, but the process operation is relatively complex and requires high equipment and process control.
Application field
Petrochemical industry
In the process of oil and natural gas extraction, refining, storage and transportation, the pipeline system needs to connect pipes of different diameters, and Stainless Steel Pipe reducing pipes are used to achieve the connection between these pipes. It can adapt to the transportation requirements of petroleum, natural gas and its products (such as gasoline, diesel, natural gas condensate, etc.), while resisting the erosion of chemical raw materials and products (such as acid, alkali, salt and other corrosive substances) on the pipeline.
Food and Beverage Industry
In the process of food processing and beverage production, the pipeline connection between different equipment may require pipeline transitions of different diameters, and Stainless Steel Pipe reducing pipes can meet this demand. For example, in the pipeline system of milk, juice, beer, etc., the use of stainless steel reducers can ensure the hygiene and cleanliness of the inside of the pipeline, prevent external pollutants from entering the pipeline, and meet the requirements of food hygiene and safety.
Pharmaceutical Industry
In all aspects of drug production, including pipeline systems in the process of raw material transportation, intermediate synthesis, and finished product packaging, stainless steel reducers help maintain a clean environment inside the pipeline, prevent drugs from being contaminated, and ensure the quality and safety of drugs.
Building water supply and drainage and HVAC systems
In the water supply and drainage pipelines, heating pipelines, air conditioning pipelines and other systems of buildings, Stainless Steel Pipe reducing pipes are used to connect pipelines of different diameters to make the layout of the pipeline system more reasonable. For example, in the water supply and drainage system, the main pipe and branch pipe are connected; in the HVAC system, heating or cooling pipes of different specifications are connected.
