317L cold rolled stainless steel sheet is a high-end upgraded low-carbon version based on standard 317 high-molybdenum stainless steel, representing one of the most stable welded anti-corrosion materials in the entire 300 series. Different from conventional 317 steel which contains regular carbon content and is prone to sensitization after welding, and different from 316/316L/316Ti series with limited medium corrosion resistance, 317L adopts strict ultra-low carbon formula (≤0.03%) combined with higher molybdenum and nickel alloy ratio. This structural upgrade completely solves the long-standing industry problem of grain boundary corrosion and weld aging failure in heavy-corrosion industrial equipment.
