3003 Aluminum Alloy Sheet
1. Full Technical Specifications and Physical & Chemical Parameters
In terms of chemical composition, 3003 aluminum alloy maintains highly standardized and stable element ratios that determine its comprehensive performance. The aluminum base content is controlled at a minimum of 98.6%, with manganese content ranging from 1.0% to 1.5%, which serves as the core strengthening and anti-corrosion element. The iron content is limited below 0.7%, silicon below 0.6%, copper controlled within 0.05% to 0.20%, and zinc and titanium trace elements are strictly restricted to low content. This scientific alloy proportion eliminates brittle impurity phases, refines metal grains, and fundamentally improves the material's structural uniformity and environmental adaptability, avoiding intergranular corrosion and performance attenuation in long-term service.
For physical constant parameters, 3003 aluminum alloy sheet has a standard density of 2.71 g/cm³, slightly higher than pure aluminum but retaining prominent lightweight advantages over carbon steel, stainless steel and copper alloys. Its melting point ranges from 650°C to 660°C, providing excellent thermal stability under normal industrial operating temperatures. The standard thermal conductivity reaches 193 W/(m·K), ensuring efficient and uniform heat transfer and dissipation. The linear coefficient of thermal expansion is 23.2×10⁻⁶ /°C, with low thermal deformation rate, which guarantees structural stability during repeated temperature changes. Additionally, the material features good electrical conductivity, with a conductivity rating of approximately 50% IACS, enabling it to meet the requirements of conventional low-current conductive and grounding components.
In terms of dimensional specifications and tolerance standards, our 3003 aluminum sheet covers a complete thickness spectrum from 0.2mm to 12.0mm, including ultra-thin precision sheets, conventional processing sheets and thick industrial structural sheets. All products strictly implement international thickness tolerance standards, with thickness deviation controlled within ±0.02mm for thin sheets and ±0.1mm for thick plates, ensuring high flatness and consistent thickness across the entire plate surface. Conventional finished sizes include 1000×2000mm, 1220×2440mm, 1500×3000mm and 2000×4000mm, while customized width, length slitting and special-shaped cutting are fully supported. The sheet flatness is strictly controlled within industrial high-precision standards, without warping, bending or wave deformation, which effectively improves the yield rate of subsequent processing.
3003 aluminum alloy sheet is available in multiple mainstream tempers including O, H14 and H18, with clear gradient mechanical properties to adapt to different processing scenarios. The O temper is fully annealed soft state, with tensile strength stably ranging from 110MPa to 130MPa, yield strength between 40MPa and 55MPa, and elongation at break up to 25% to 30%. It features ultra-high ductility and no processing hardening, suitable for ultra-deep drawing and complex forming. H14 half-hard temper is semi-work-hardened, with tensile strength of 140MPa to 180MPa, yield strength of 120MPa to 160MPa, and elongation of 10% to 15%, perfectly balancing hardness, rigidity and formability. H18 full-hard temper is fully work-hardened, with tensile strength reaching 180MPa to 220MPa, yield strength of 160MPa to 200MPa, and elongation maintained at 5% to 8%, providing high surface hardness and structural rigidity for load-bearing and fixed parts. All tempers feature stable hardness uniformity without local soft or hard zones, ensuring consistent batch processing effects.

2. Core Material Characteristics and Performance Advantages
2.1 Superior Anti-Corrosion and Anti-Rust Performance
As a classic anti-rust aluminum alloy, 3003 sheet achieves significantly enhanced corrosion resistance compared with 1000 series pure aluminum. The manganese element in the alloy optimizes the internal microstructure, refines crystalline grains, and suppresses the precipitation of harmful impurities, effectively preventing intergranular corrosion and pitting corrosion. A dense, inert aluminum oxide film naturally forms on the material surface, which can stably resist atmospheric oxidation, rainwater erosion, high-humidity environment corrosion, and weak acid and weak alkali medium erosion. It performs excellently in coastal salt fog environments, industrial dusty environments and long-term outdoor exposure conditions, with no rusting, peeling or surface pulverization after years of service. Compared with ordinary carbon steel, it requires no frequent anti-rust painting maintenance, greatly reducing later operation and maintenance costs.
2.2 Exceptional Formability, Stamping and Deep Drawing Performance
3003 aluminum alloy sheet inherits the excellent ductility of aluminum materials and has extremely low cold processing resistance. The O temper material is specially designed for complex forming processes, supporting deep drawing, stretch bending, roll forming, flanging and twisting without cracking, wrinkling, rebounding or thinning. H14 and H18 tempers retain good machinability while improving structural hardness, and can adapt to high-speed stamping, precision cutting, drilling and CNC bending. The material has low internal residual stress after rolling and annealing, so it will not deform or warp after blanking and processing. It is highly compatible with automated production lines, with high processing yield and stable finished product consistency, far exceeding ordinary pure aluminum sheets in forming stability.
2.3 Reliable Weldability and Assembly Stability
3003 aluminum sheet has excellent welding adaptability and can be perfectly processed by argon arc welding, spot welding, laser welding and gas welding. The welding seam is dense and smooth, without pores, cracks or brittle layers. The mechanical strength and anti-corrosion performance of the welding area are consistent with the base material, ensuring the overall structural integrity and sealing performance of the workpiece. Meanwhile, the material has good riveting, bonding and screw assembly performance. Its moderate hardness avoids thread slipping and plate deformation during assembly, and the flat and smooth surface ensures tight fitting of assembled parts, providing high dimensional stability for finished equipment and components.
2.4 Stable Thermal Performance and Lightweight Structural Advantage
Thanks to its uniform metal structure and high thermal conductivity coefficient, 3003 aluminum alloy sheet can realize rapid and uniform heat conduction and heat dissipation, making it an ideal material for various medium and low-power heat dissipation components, ventilation equipment and thermal insulation shells. Its low thermal expansion coefficient ensures minimal deformation under alternating cold and hot conditions, avoiding structural failure caused by thermal expansion and contraction. In addition, its lightweight property can effectively reduce the self-weight of mechanical equipment, engineering structures and automotive parts, reduce equipment load and energy consumption, and improve the overall service life and operating efficiency of terminal products.
2.5 Excellent Surface Treatability and Decorative Performance
3003 aluminum alloy sheet has a clean and uniform surface base, without internal impurity segregation, and can perfectly adapt to various surface treatment processes. It can achieve high-quality effects through anodizing, electrostatic powder spraying, fluorocarbon spraying, wire drawing, polishing, sand blasting and anti-oxidation coating. The treated surface has strong adhesion, uniform color, wear resistance and weather resistance, not easy to fade or peel. It can meet both industrial anti-corrosion functional protection and architectural decoration appearance requirements, with strong comprehensive applicability.
2.6 High Cost Performance and Batch Stability
Different from high-grade 5052 and 5083 anti-corrosion aluminum alloys, 3003 aluminum sheet maintains excellent anti-rust and processing performance at a lower production cost, avoiding performance redundancy in conventional industrial scenarios. It features stable batch consistency, low defective rate and wide material compatibility, which can effectively reduce procurement and production costs for manufacturers. It is recognized as the most cost-effective universal anti-rust aluminum material in the light industry, machinery, construction and environmental protection equipment fields.
